DSLR CAMERA/LENS CALIBRATION
Interchangeable lens camera set up for calibration.
Interchangeable lens cameras and their lenses are often made in different factories at different times and each is made to a tolerance. The first time a particular camera and lens are mated together is after the purchase. They have never been tested as a unit. Due to the manufacturers allowable tolerances they may not focus accurately. Most mid to high range cameras come with a menu option to facilitate AF Fine Tune, also referred to as AF Micro-adjustment. These cameras are capable of storing calibration settings for up 20 lenses. When a calibrated lens is fitted to the camera body it is automatically recognised and the appropriate calibration adjustment is enabled. The result is focus where you want it. For more information on calibration download the Focus Accuracy flyer. For details of pricing and turnaround times please download the Autofocus Adjustment, Details and Pricing flyer.
